Description

Comfrey, also called knit-bone, has been cultivated since 400 BC and used to heal broken bones and repair injured joints. The root and leaves contain allantoin, which stimulates cell proliferation that can be helpful when there is injury to the tissues, and especially when the body is having a hard time healing on its own. As a drawing agent, it can help draw stagnant and toxic material out of the injured area. Caution should be taken to avoid overgrowth of tissues in certain instances.

Cautions

Contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids which are liver toxic. Dosage should be small.
