Humus (pronounced hyoo-muhs) means “earth, ground, or soil” in Latin, and is the dark organic material in soil produced by the decomposition of organic matter and is essential to the fertility of the Earth. It is created when organic material is fully decomposed by microbial activity. It’s the medicine created when the pure power and potential of the Earth, microbes, and plants combine. Humic and fulvic acids are organic acids derived from humus that we can take internally or externally. They are extremely small, 1:10,000th the size of colloidal minerals. They are also in an ionic form which means they are absorbed by charge, and not by ordinary digestion. The absorption and bioavailability is very fast and complete. The ionic charge also helps the minerals bind to and remove toxins like heavy metals and free radicals from our system. We get our humic material from ancient forest deposits over 60 million years ago.
