Arbutin is a chemical component found in Manzanita that is commonly used for treating urinary tract infections. This is due to its antibacterial qualities against E Coli. It can be in the form of a UTI tea, which can also remedy stomach problems, rheumatism, inflammation of the joints, tissues, and kidneys.

Consequently, the Earth element rules our kidneys and bladder. The bladder is considered to be the seed or storehouse of emotions, while the kidneys filter the blood and clean and balance the body. The kidneys are perceived as storing life force energy relating to the cycle of transformation and desire for life. This includes fear, and the blocking of self-expression, feelings of love, and faith when the Earth element is unbalanced.

Venus, ruler of self-love, and the Earth element work through Manzanita to help us express our individuality and move more fluidly. It helps us let go of rigid mindsets and perfectionism, releasing fear and connecting us to our bodies. Manzanita bridges the mind and body through the Venus and Earth elements’ influence over the Pituitary and creates healthy perceptions of our sexuality helping us to feel safe in our bodies. Flower essence tinctures work by modifying energy flow through the typical acupuncture meridians. Flowers themselves contain the highest concentration of life force energy of the plant. Through the sun infusion method, we can harness the healing vibrational pattern and energy of the flower. This is imprinted in the water and then preserved as medicine. Preserved with brandy but can be replaced with glycerin upon request.

The flower essence of Manzanita is only the vibration of the plant and no plant material is used in the harvesting process.

This can be used as a tincture ingested neat, or added to water, tea whatever you feel. I recommend one drop in water three times a day. All of the essences can also be added to a bath.
