This mini deck of plant ally talisman cards contains 10 different cards, each featuring a different plant ally.
Volume 1 includes: Borage, Calendula, Chamomile, Hyssop, Lavender, Mugwort, Mullein, Rosemary, Sagebrush, and Yarrow.
Volume 2 includes: Dandelion, Foxglove, Hellebore, Horehound, Lemon Balm, Mimosa, Passionflower, Rose, Star of Bethlehem, and Violet.
Volume 3 includes: Bleeding Heart, Cornflower, Daffodil, Hibiscus, Iris, Phlox, Poppy, Pulsatilla, Rhododendron, and Thyme.
Each card features a plant illustration on the front, and a poem that encapsulates the essence of each plant on the back. A hand-stamped kraft paper bag keeps them safe.
Each card measures 2" x 3.5". This size is great for altars, or to take with you throughout your day in a purse, wallet, or pocket.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
All the plants in this deck are plants that I've gotten to know over the past three years. All but Sagebrush are grown in the Velvetback garden. I began drawing these plants—completing one each week—during the late summer and early fall of 2017. Then I spent a day alone up at Mt. St. Helens in Washington state, hiking and writing a poem for each plant. This project is a love letter to the plants I work with, honoring their medicine and beauty.
