Borage is often associated with courage. It is extremely healing and has many medicinal uses, ranging from soothing inflammation in the body to uplifting depression. Like Evening Primrose, Borage has a high concentration of GLA. This is an essential fatty acid type of Omega 6. GLA is converted and used in the body to help fight cell damage and assist in the body's healing process. This is why Borage is a wonderful remedy for painful inflammation, which is a natural response by our immune system but can be damaging when it persists, sometimes causing autoimmune diseases. Gamma Linolenic acid, also found in Borage, helps relieve depression and balance hormones by crossing the blood-brain barrier. The Borage flower essence helps distribute healing through the entire body bringing wholeness relieving depression and balance to the mind, body, and spirit.

Flower essence tinctures work by modifying energy flow through the typical acupuncture meridians. Shifts in these energetic patterns influence the consciousness in helpful ways both emotionally and physically. These homeopathic remedies can be described as “vibrational” or energy medicine. Flowers themselves contain the highest concentration of life force energy of the plant. Through the sun infusion method, we can harness the healing vibrational pattern and energy of the flower. This is imprinted in the water and then preserved as medicine. Preserved with brandy but can be replaced with glycerin upon request.

The flower essence of Borage is only the vibration of the plant and no plant material is used in the harvesting process.

This can be used as a tincture ingested neat, or added to water, tea whatever you feel. I recommend one drop in water three times a day. All of the essences can also be added to a bath.
