The essential oils obtained in the heartwood of the Cedrus libani tree have a wonderful variety of respiratory healing properties. In my opinion, all trees are magical, but Cedar teaches us that the Doctrine of signatures can show us how we are all connected in nature. The Sun rules the heart in medical astrology, and the Sun in Leo influences heart energy giving us courage and confidence. This then builds a healthy ego that translates through our solar plexus. This is literally how the human body projects the powerful rays of the Sun. Cedar gives us healing through its heart center helping our hearts to heal. The Sun gives us vitality and boots our immune system, some plants express these powerful rays in unique ways.

Cedar flower essence builds the strength not only around our heart but it helps give us the courage and strength to move through life's challenges and harsh situations. Cedar gives us an emotional boost of sunshine and reminds us that brighter days are to follow after the darkness (think about why we have Christmas Trees). Originally they were used in pagan traditions as a celebration for rebirth during the winter solstice, a time of the darkest days in the northern hemisphere. Cedar clears away emotional congestion and helps the whole body heal through its powerful Sol energy and stimulating essential oils.

Flower essence tinctures work by modifying energy flow through the typical acupuncture meridians. Shifts in these energetic patterns influence the consciousness in helpful ways both emotionally and physically. These homeopathic remedies can be described as “vibrational” or energy medicine. Flowers themselves contain the highest concentration of life force energy of the plant. Through the sun infusion method, we can harness the healing vibrational pattern and energy of the flower. This is imprinted in the water and then preserved as medicine. Preserved with brandy but can be replaced with glycerin upon request.

The flower essence of Cedar is only the vibration of the plant and no plant material is used in the harvesting process.

This can be used as a tincture ingested neat, or added to water, tea whatever you feel. I recommend one drop in water three times a day. All of the essences can also be added to a bath.
