Dodecatheon translates to the twelve Gods of Olympus. It got this regal name because it belongs to the Primrose family, and was thought to hold spiritual gateways. Shooting Stars are not really known to have many medicinal qualities or nutritional value, however, all plants are healers, and their capabilities to raise our vibration to give us healing on its own. Shooting Stars lately look like exactly that: a star shooting through the sky like Venus, the brightest star in the sky. Shooting Stars, with their bright appearance, literally shoot from the forest landscape and catch your attention. They point up and down at the same time, depending on how you see them. This gives an “as above, so below” feeling. Their energy shoots down from the heavens into the Earth like a messenger from the gods, and they remind us that we are all connected and we are safely held. They remind us that we are all Stars and we are here to become whom we want, and that is our purpose. Shooting Stars support us through the challenges of finding ourselves. They help us to remember that sometimes we may feel like we don't fit into a certain belief system, that this challenge only encourages us to make our own way and we are supported by the universal energy and wisdom.

Flower essence tinctures work by modifying energy flow through the typical acupuncture meridians. Shifts in these energetic patterns influence the consciousness in helpful ways both emotionally and physically. These homeopathic remedies can be described as “vibrational” or energy medicine. Flowers themselves contain the highest concentration of life force energy of the plant. Through the sun infusion method, we can harness the healing vibrational pattern and energy of the flower. This is imprinted in the water and then preserved as medicine. Preserved with brandy but can be replaced with glycerin upon request.

The flower essence of Shooting Star is only the vibration of the plant and no plant material is used in the harvesting process.

This can be used as a tincture ingested neat, or added to water, tea whatever you feel. I recommend one drop in water three times a day. All of the essences can also be added to a bath.
